This morning we drove out of Denver and headed north to pick up I-80. It was about 8 hours of driving total, and we lost another hour to time change, but we are now officially back in Central Standard Time! Similar to our first day driving from home, we only made one stop between our starting point and our destination today (well, actually there was an additional stop that was unplanned, but that's a separate story).
Most of the day was spent driving through Nebraska. We arrived in Omaha, near the eastern border of Nebraska around 5:30pm. We had dinner, checked into our hotel, and of course went to the pool.

Tomorrow we'll drive through Iowa and Illinois, and after just over 6 weeks, we'll finally be back! It has been quite an adventure for our family, but I think we're all very ready to just be home.
