Day Three Done

This was our odometer after 2 days of driving:

Today we would add over 600 more miles. The driving through Ilinois, Iowa, and Nebraska were very similar, with mostly flat farmland and prairie. In Wyoming and beyond, there was much more variety with massive green hills, snow-capped mountains, desert-like badlands, and unique rock formations. On previous trips, we'd take dozens of pictures. For this 4th time across the country, we took very few, and just enjoyed the view.  Here are a few (actually most) of the pictures we took while driving today.

As I mentioned in the blog on our last trip, I am most struck by the vastness of the land, while Patty enjoys the wondrous diversity of cloud fomations on the unobstructed horizons.

We crossed into Utah just before 1pm

Entered Nevada around 3:30pm, but immediately gained an hour

"One Day More" and then we'll arrive in California!
