Cal Reunion

The original impetus for this trip was a reunion with 4 of my best college friends. Our original "Epic Yang Roadtrip" from 2011 was also a reunion with these same guys and their families, but down in San Diego. This year, it was the 20th anniversary of our graduation from Cal, so it seemed appropriate to gather in the Bay Area.

Here we are at Sather Gate, older but not much more mature.
We arrived on Wednesday evening (July 31st). Most of our time was spent talking, playing, eating, etc., so I don't actually have that many pictures, especially not of our family.
Here's Josiah in the midst of a light saber duel.
Emma, holding a carrot grown in our host's garden, which had an impressive variety of vegetables that I hardly ate.
My friend who was hosting us had this ridiculous 800 lb. "Komodo Kamado" smoker/grill from Indonesia. He relished this opportunity to use it, given the large number of people he was hosting at his house.
Doesn't it look like a science fiction droid?
We made chicken one day...
... and this enormous prime rib on another day.
The whole process might have taken 4-5 hours, but when finshed, it was amazing.
This is the whole gang when we visited the Berkeley campus on Friday.
Emma often exploits her "third and youngest child status" to get special treatment (not that I would know anything about that).
10 adults, 11 children, 1 house, for 4 days.
