San Francisco

So, on Friday (July 26th), Patty flew to Seattle for her cousin's wedding. Since she was flying out of San Francisco Airport, it was a perfect time for me to visit some relatives on the San Francisco side of the bay. I took the kids to see my uncle and aunt on my mom's side.

These two aunts are my mom's younger sisters
They had a pool, and the kids were interested in swimming, but it was much too cold, so we just put our feet in the water.
Yes, I have the whitest legs
Of course, the kids couldn't resist playing in the water. Josiah had one shoe fall in, Abby's shorts got pretty wet, and Emma accidentally sat down in the water.
Careful not to get too wet!
You can see in the pictures below that both girls had changed outfits while we dried their other clothes.

As the kids played, I put aside the minivan keys and took a spin in this Porsche 911 Turbo. Amazing acceleration, but we'd have a hard time fitting the three kids in the back seat.
Eventually we also met up with my cousins in San Francisco, where the kids and I spent the night.

On Saturday afternoon, I picked up Patty from the airport. Since I had the camera, Patty couldn't take any pictures herself (she is also without a smartphone). That afternoon, we met up with another group of my cousins, from my dad's side. We also saw another uncle and aunt who happened to be visiting town.

The final picture was taken on Sunday morning before we left. You will note that Emma is wearing a new dress (a gift from Auntie Shar) that she was saving for her birthday.

As we left that morning to return to the East Bay, I thought that had concluded our foray into the San Francisco peninsula, but I was wrong.
